an update
albeit a brief one, is what i felt i owed my venerated visitors, so here it goes: over the last twelve months i spent some time over at tbwa\, doing some copywriting and translating for their clients, i did a small brand creation for a startup that hasn't seen the light of day yet with the co-founders of efficient cloud (which i suggest you check out anyway), worked as AD for a spot which hasn't seen said light either (although you can try and watch it over at the director's site), helped set up an international support center and did some brand management consulting for some clients at Ixolit as well as handling communications over there. As far as film goes, apart from that gartenbaukinospot (which you can see in it's full celluloid glory by going to the movies), i must admit i haven't been all too focused on that lately, although it might be worth mentioning that i did help a little here (but really only because these guys are. worth mentioning, i mean).

50 years of gartenbaukino
is by all means a reason to celebrate. thus, yours truly and the nice folks over at screenagers decided to make the wonderful gartenbaukino a little cinematic present; the above spot premiered at the birthday gala and is now being used as a special opener in the cinema itself . blechturm helped build atmosphere with their beautiful sound design as did the cinematography of daniel wolf. production by screenagers, directed by deniz arslan and gox. enjoy!

what we've done here is recording a live version of vocals and guitar, adding the rhythm section track by track later on. everything was done in a couple of hours and a bit drunk, just like a real schlurf should go about it.

as you can easily guess by the simplicity of my site, i have nothing to do with web design at all, yet i gave the part on short notice for the nice guys over at raftfilms. cd of the campaign for "gruene wirtschaft" was felicitas prokopetz. sounddesign by blechturm, the tune comes from the wonderful violetta parisini.

cd for alphaville
i did a two-part print campaign for lovely alphaville international video store. the first part, a flyer / voucher was released in accordance to the viennale film festival, the second part, a snipcard (which is always a voucher) a bit later. graphic design and creative help came from the screenies, as usual. both parts in higher resolution after the jump.

gox, the mariachi
just in case you have been living under a rock last year, the above performance was part of the ingenious and multiple-award winning screenagers "coming soon" campaign, which i co-concepted and co-directed (remember?). you can learn a bit more on blechturm's approach to the whole thing here. dop: philipp grausam.
the whole thing also got us invited to open the flash on the beach conference, where we performed the song in front of approx. 1000 peeps. you can watch that performance, on which i am totally being owned by my man kurt rassell, after the jump.

coming soon
is a three-part web campaign for screenagers which i co-concepted with them and co-directed with Deniz Arslan. the first part, which you can see here, won a bunch of awards, the second part (here) was one of the most successful virals i've ever seen coming from this tiny country of ours and the last part has been their actual homepage for quite some time now (here). sounds and tunes by blechturm. watching the complete thing is highly recommended for people who work in the industry ;). enjoy!
